Industrial Visit to Al Fileyah Wastewater Treatment Plant

Civil engineering (Year 3) students had a valuable opportunity to visit Al Fileyah Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ras Al Khaimah in collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah Waste Water Agency (RAKWA) دائرة الخدمات العامة – رأس الخيمةon Thursday 28th February 2019.

RAKWA has been leading in the UAE for wastewater management by implementing various new technologies in sewage treatment. Students witnessed the complete process of waste water treatment from its collection to discharge back in nature.

We would like to convey our gratitude to Mr Walid Abdelrahman (O&M Department Manager), Mr. Mustafa Ramadan, and Mr. Vijay for providing an in-depth tour of their facility.
